Recap of the Holidays!

Gabriela's first Christmas was at my mom's a few days before Christmas. She fell asleep while opening her presents!

Christmas Eve was at my dad's. We went to Church, ate, opened presents, and played games.

Christmas Day we went to Tulsa.

New Years Stephanie and Sim came from Arkansas. We ate and had a mini party with Andy and Lindsay! Gabriela and Sammy brought in the New Year with us!

Never Again!!!

We are back after only 28 hours of traveling!!! I wish I could say the traveling went great, but I will never again take that bus!!! Not sure how I will be getting back at the end of the season. I will have to find a new way! The flights weren't bad and I only had a two hour layover in Houston. I was able to take all my bags even though they were overweight. The lady that helped me was getting ready to get off work and didn't take the time to notice the scale!! My carry on probably weighed about 50 pounds...not kidding! I don't know what I was thinking!! Next time I will travel with no carry on.

Last night when we were on the bus, I was sitting there thinking how great of a traveler Gabriela was and how lucky I was. She had not cried at all, slept well, and was in a great mood! About five minutes after thinking this she started crying!! It was not a small cry. It was a bright red face screaming at the top of her lungs cry! We were one hour from Bahia and, I think she was just ready to be off that bus! The loud scream lasted about 30 min. I had people asking me what was wrong, did I need help, and some dirty looks!! Finally she nursed and quit screaming!! That has never happened to me and I did panick a little!!


Here is a picture in the cab ride from the airport! I discovered Gerber teething cookies while we were home. I brought back about 5 boxes!! On a good note, it is summer here!! I am sitting in my apartment hot....we get our air conditioner on Friday!!!

Mama!!!!

She finally said mama!!!! After a lot of dada dada dada...she is now saying mama!! Don't know that she is associating it with me, but its a start!! We are leaving Tuesday for Argentina. Nichy left on the 1st. We have had a blast and got to see so many people. I will post pics of Christmas and New Year's soon!

Sim and Steph came for New Year's. We had so muchy fun, and it is so fun to watch Gabriela and Sammy play. Sim has always called Gabriela "GG" and now Stephanie is too!! Not my favorite nick name-they are the only ones allowed to call her that!!

Christmas was great. My mom got Gabriela a lot of books and toys we are taking back. I am excited to read the new books. I think I had the other ones memorized. Today Gabriela took steps while pushing her little fire truck. She was standing up behind it, pushing it, and took about 4 steps before falling!

My Dad

My dad called this morning and said he was having Gabriela withdrawals! We stayed with Lindsay a couple nights, and he hasn't seen us in 2 days! Dad lived with me the first month Gabriela was born until Nichy got back from Spain. He was such a big help and got really attached to her! Thursday morning Gabriela woke up early so Dad played with her while I slept! I woke up to her screaming and dad brought her in the room trying to change her diaper! He had one of Jude's diapers in his hands...Jude is 2 1/2!!! I was cracking up!



Gabriela loves watching Jude play and trys to play with some of his toys. Jude is at the age where everthing is "mine." Every once in a while he will be sweet to her, but for the most part is "that is my toy" or "no Gabby."

Going Out

Went out last night for a birthday party! I am so tired and it is not the same! It was fun saw lots of high school friends, danced a little...or tried!! My feet were killing me by the end of the night. Don't know what I was thinking wearing heals! Lindsay kept Gabriela and everything went okay. That was my first night out in a LONG time!! Took some cute pics will post laster!

Nichy will be home Tuesday I am so excited!! I feel like Gabriela has changed so much. We have Christmas with my mom on Sunday, Christmas Eve at my dads, and Christmas day in Tulsa! So the next week will be busy. I am cooking Christmas Eve and I am a little nervous. This will be my first time to cook a ham! Everyone says it is hard to screw up a ham!

Busy Busy Busy!!!

We have been so busy since we have been here! Gabriela has a tooth, working on a second one, crawling really fast, and pulling up on everything!!! We went to Arkansas this past weekend and I officiated a basketball tournament. We spent the weekend in the gym and Gabriela just loved the cheerleaders! Everyone was joking that she will be a cheerleader instead of a basketball player:) We also got to see Sammy and I will upload pictures of them soon!

My Great Aunt came in town from California so we also went to Tulsa to visit her. She is 87 and in great shape!! Nichy decided to come to the states for Christmas so we will spend Christmas here!! I am so excited. He will be here Monday. Lindsay found out she is having a boy! She is starting to show and looks so cute!

We are home!

We got to the states last week and have been going ever since! The trip home was LONG! We had a 10 hour bus ride, 10 hour flight, 6 hour layover, 5 hour layover, and a 2 hour flight!!! But we made it! Gabriela did fine flying. She had scabs on her face and I felt like we were getting some stares! A lady told me "you really should cut her nails so she doesn't scratch her face." I politely told her it was chicken pox scabs!! The scabs are off now and she is great! Thanksgiving was great. I was glad to have some good food!!! We are going back Dec. 22 to spend Christmas in Argentina.
